Interaction of Class A and Class D extensions
(i.e.
interaction between extensions and porches)
·
·
A porch is a structure
which is outside an external door and is not an integral part of the building. As such, a proposed structure that would be an integral part of the
building should be assessed against Class A, rather than Class D. [Source:
November 2010 - Code a00155].
·
For a proposed “porch” to be
permitted development, it must be outside an existing external door. [Source:
January 2011 - Code a00189]
